37

Yes.  I am 37 now.  Three more years until I'm 40.  Funny thing is I don't feel like I'm that old.  I guess that's a good thing.

Yesterday was just an ordinary day.  Ryan is out of town this week, so it was just the kids and me.  So I got up and started getting kids out of bed and then chauffered them to school.  Our mornings are just crazy even if Ryan is home to help out.

In between taking Andrew and John to school, Annie gave me her birthday present to me....she started CRAWLING!!!  Ahhhhhh!!!  She looks like a crab as she pushes off with one leg.  Rach did the same thing.  It's pretty funny!

After I got back from dropping John off I had a breakfast of coke and a brownie. Then, I had breakfast with some friends, picked John up from school, then went to store to buy me an ice cream cake.  I usually don't buy myself a cake (I feel kind of weird doing it so I usually go without unless Ryan or the kids make one.), but it sounded good.  While I was at the store I checked out the marked-down section.  And I found a cart full of Valentine fruit snacks...the big boxes that have like 28 bags of fruit snacks.  For....get this.... 29 cents each!!!!  So yeah, I took all of them but 4 (I wanted someone else to be excited to find 29 cent fruit snacks).  So I have twenty boxes of fruit snacks.  560 bags of fruit snacks!  Can I just say, that TOTALLY made my day!

We had quiet time after we got back and then picked up the kids from school. And THEN my day really began.  It was Subway night for Andrew's school and he wanted to go.  So I took them, we came home and I had a frozen burrito.  Nuked, of course, in the microwave. Mmmmmm!  Ryan will take me out when he gets home.  Then we had the ice cream cake.  It was delicious!  But my favorite part of the whole day was when the kids sang "Happy Birthday" to me.  It was the sweetest sound.  Especially to hear John SING Happy Birthday.  That is the first time I have ever heard him really sing and that was THE sweetest sound ever.  He has come SO far in the last year and a half.  And to hear him talk, sing, yell is really music to my ears!

I love my kids and Ryan so much and all the family who called to wish me a Happy Birthday.  I am SO blessed!

  4. I would've loved to have found a great bargain like that on my bday, too. And the frozen burrito for dinner made me laugh. At least you had an ice cream cake to eat afterwards in case you burnt your tongue on it! :) Cute pic with John blowing out the candles with you. (I heard you Aunt Helen!)
